A new gastronomic festival, which is dedicated to Ukrainian borsch, will be soon held in Kharkiv region. The news was reported by the head of information and methodological tourist center of the region D. Darmostuk.
The event was approved as part of the plan to further develop tourism industry in the region.
The festival is mainly aimed at reviving the authentic Ukrainian traditions of cooking one of the most popular dishes in the country – borsch. Moreover, the event will give a chance for Kharkov chefs to showcase their culinary achievements. The borsch festival will be held in the outskirts of Kharkiv, which will make it easier for tourists to get to the event.
D. Darmostuk is convinced that the new Kharkiv festival will also promote other events that take place in Kharkiv region. The most popular festivals are Large Slobozhanshchina Fair, Alekseevskaya fortress, Wedding in Malinovka, Pancake fest on Korobovy farms, and Midsummer Night.
